In 1985 I had the pleasure of doing the cover of Gary Gygax’s first novel. The classic cover scene depicted Gary’s character, Gord the Rogue, facing off against a glowing, crocodile-scaled monster standing atop a pile of human skulls and bones. I worked closely with Gary on developing the cover art, and did a series of b&w interior illustrations for the book as well.
